Ban on youth motorcycles finally ENDED!
Last night at 6 PM, President Obama signed into a law an exception for off-highway vehicles for the CPSIA, also known as the Lead Law. This is a great accomplishment, and a lot of credit goes to Cobra president Sean Hilbert, who acted as chief lobbyist and front-man for the effort. The CPSIA, while intended to protect kids, actually put them at great risk by banning youth vehicles as they would...

The Lead Law hurts children →
Cobra has been working hard not only to help save an industry, but also to protect children. The Lead Law meant well but was horribly written without any understanding of the consequences. There is no doubt it has caused more harm than good but legislators have moved on to other things. Check out this blog post about how Cobra continues the right fight in Washington.

I am guest blogging today on The Startup Blog at PartnerUp. The blog discusses topics for small businesses and startups. My first guest post today is on the topic of partners. You can find the post here, but this is why I believe it is important.

The Lean Entrepreneur
There is no question at this point that 2009 is the worst economy we’ve all seen since the great depression. Good people are getting laid off left and right because their employer just doesn’t have work for them. And of course it’s very hard to get hired from outside a company that is the middle of layoffs. This clearly won’t last forever, but I believe it will last for...
